The Golden Lemon Inn and Villas property consists of the following:

The Great House - a two-story stone and wooden structure that was originally built in 1610 plus a contemporary annex (1978). In all, the Inn houses seven guest bedrooms: 4 upstairs across the front of the original structure, and two very large rooms on the upper floor of the annex and one bedroom/bath on the ground floor which has a private sunning patio. All rooms are en suite. Also on this level is a linen room and two-room office suite which can be converted back to guest rooms.

In addition, the first floor of the Great House contains a central sitting or game room, a walk-in linen closet, a sewing room capable of being converted back into a staff bedroom. There are two rooms with bathroom facilities at the rear of the Great House which comprise the office space.

The ground floor houses the public dining areas, kitchen and kitchen store rooms. A room on the front gallery can convert easily to a small conference room, gift shop, or TV/Computer station. This area also houses the wine cellars, staff bathrooms and storage area. There is a 20' X 40' above-ground swimming pool.

The Lemon Grove - southeast of The Great House - is a landscape area fronting the beach behind a wall consisting of eight two-bedroom and two one-bedroom en suite villas, (18 bedrooms, total) some with working kitchens, each with their own plunge pools, cathedral ceilinged living rooms, sun decks and large bath/showers on the upper floor of the two-bedroom units with walk-in showers on the lower floor. Two one bedroom and one two-bedroom villa are privately owned and for sale. In addition, there is a separate linen room/storage building.

The Lemon Court - west of the Great House - contains two two-bedroom units and three one-bedroom units, all privately owned.

The golden Lemon is one of those rare and exclusive hotels. It sits at the foot of a small fishing village on the edge of a black volcanic-sand beach with a dramatic volcano as backdrop, and the island of St. Eustatius, the sea, and reefed bay before you.

The Great House was originally built circa 1610 by the Huguentos, and each guest room on the balconied first floor is a new realization of 19th centruy great house living, as interpreted by the property's owner, manager, and former decoration editor of House & Garden, Arthur Leaman.

No two rooms are alike, and all are striking in their individual decor--antique beds, armoires and chests, color coordinated bed lines, fresh flowers and all modern amenities. Seven "old-world" sea-view rooms are located in the Great House and its annex, and 15 one and two bedroom villas sit along the sea, beach and mountain fronts, all in fabulous garden settings. The modern villas have tropical, colorful interiors, beautiful antique and modern furnishings, and private plunge pools in which to luxuriate.

Days at The Golden Lemon are devoted to relaxing with a book or sunbathing on your deck or in the lush gardens. For the more energetic there is a forty-foot fresh water pool, ocean swimming, snorkeling on the reef just yards from the beach, walks, mountain climbing or island tours. In the evening, international cuisine with a West Indian accent is served in the beautiful dining room, on the front gallery or the luscious pool-side garden.

The Golden Lemon is ideal for those who enjoy doing nothing, or everything, with style.
